BGSU Foundation Board Newsletter
Dear Former Foundation Board members,
I've enjoyed seeing many of you in recent months. Several of you took part in our first "Virtual Conversation" featuring President Rodney Rogers; I saw some of you on the west coast at activities leading up to the Falcon football team taking on UCLA in the historic Rose Bowl; and many of you were here on campus as BGSU celebrated 100 years of Homecoming.
As leaders and supporters of the University, it is important that we stay connected - your input and unique perspectives continue to help guide us. I encourage you to take part in the in-person and virtual activities we offer, reach out when you have questions or ideas, and continue to show your support for BGSU through your advocacy and philanthropy.
I look forward to seeing and hearing from you soon!
Pam Conlin - Vice President for University Advancement, President & CEO, BGSU Foundation, Inc.
Alumni Gateway Dedicated during Homecoming
From campus buildings to student learning, a lot has changed at Bowling Green State University since its founding in 1910 as a state normal college. Now, more than 100 years later, a piece of University history is making a return – of sorts – and creating a welcoming space for students, faculty, staff and the community to enjoy.
Alumnus and current BGSU Board of Trustees Vice Chair Drew Forhan '81 and his wife, Nancy, also made a generous challenge gift to the project, inspiring many alumni and friends of the University to make contributions to support the Alumni Gateway.
Additional opportunities to name features and be recognized in a project plaque are available. Those interested in contributing are invited to do so through Oct. 31 at BGSU.edu/Give.

New School of Engineering, School of Aviation Announced
The BGSU Board of Trustees approved a landmark change to the University’s College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering (CTAAE) that will both enhance education opportunities for current and future BGSU students and respond directly to workforce needs in Ohio and beyond.
The creation of a School of Engineering builds upon what BGSU already does well: its engineering technology programs hold accreditation from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), and the University’s excellence in math and science allows BGSU to become a major player in addressing a significant workforce need for qualified engineers, particularly in Ohio.
The changes will also allow the nationally recognized BGSU Aviation program to continue its rapid growth. Recently ranked No. 4 in the nation by FLYING Magazine, the BGSU Aviation program will be housed in the new School of Aviation, allowing the program to better serve students and meet industry demand.
I plan to attend going forward!
“I attended the first virtual conversation for former Foundation Board members featuring President Rogers, and I found it very informative. It’s always great to hear an update about what is happening on campus in terms of enrollment and such, and to have the opportunity to ask Dr. Rogers questions is invaluable."
