1. CURS Spring 2025 Grant Application Round closing soon

Description: CURS Spring 2025 Grant Application Round NOW OPEN
The application round for the CURS Spring Grant is now open with a submission deadline of Monday, Dec. 2 (one-week extension is possible upon request if sent in advance to cmora@bgsu.edu). Applications can be submitted online under “Spring CURS Grant”.
Undergraduate research/scholarly/creative projects with a faculty mentor in any discipline are funded with up to $500 for the project cost ($750 for a group project of 3-5 students). Each student is expected to work a few hours per week on the project for 10 weeks during the fall semester and will receive a stipend of $200 for their work at the end of the project.

4. BGSU Saturday Art Youth Program
Date and Time: Every Saturday from Feb. 8 to April 26.
Location: Fine Arts Center

Description: The School of Art at BGSU is proud to offer youth art classes for students ages 5-19. Young people will develop their creative abilities, increase their artistic skills and learn about art of the past and present. Registration is required.
There will be no classes on March 8 or April 19 and April 26 will be a final art show.
We are offering an option for morning or afternoon classes. The morning session will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. each Saturday and the afternoon session will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. each Saturday. The fee for either session is /$89.

Description: Just because an item has a recycling symbol on it or says “recyclable” does not necessarily mean that it is recyclable here at BGSU. There is signage on each recycling and landfill station indicating what should be recycled and what should be thrown away. Please pay attention to and follow these instructions to avoid contaminating the recycling!

Description: Dr. Dale Smith’s beloved Christmas show, which premiered in 1989, returns in December. Christmas is a season of lights, the lights we put up each year on the darkest days and the lights that sparkle in the sky above. The most famous of these lights is the one called the star of the wise men. The mystery of this star has fascinated people for centuries. What was this star? Was it a star or another natural light, a miracle or a legend? SECRET OF THE STAR explores the many theories of the wise men’s star and looks back in time to the origin of many customs and traditions of the season.
A donation of /$2 is recommended for all planetarium shows.
