Our collaborations with regional institutions create clear, affordable pathways for students to earn associate and bachelor’s degrees while gaining the hands-on experience and technical skills that today’s workforce demands.

Toledo Public Schools partnership

What we offer

A dual enrollment program that allows students from the TPS Aerospace and Natural Science Academy of Toledo to earn college credit equivalent to nearly a year of classes at BGSU.

At the School of Aviation, TPS graduates may complete one of the following programs in just three years:

  • Management and operations
  • Flight technology and operations

With this partnership, TPS and BGSU aim to address crucial workforce needs in aviation across the region.

Toledo Public Schools and Bowling Green State University have a long-standing partnership focused on empowering learners, and this new collaboration underscores that commitment by creating a direct pathway for TPS students interested in aviation careers.

Penta Career Center partnership

What we offer

A dual enrollment program that allows high school students to earn college credit at no cost while completing their career-technical education at Penta. Students are able to graduate with a high school diploma and a head start on a college degree.

Through this program, students can pursue:

  • An Associate of Technical Study
  • An Associate of Science
  • Accelerated pathways to a bachelor’s degree in traditional or applied engineering

BGSU works closely with Penta to ensure students meet program requirements and are prepared to continue their education. The two institutions also are exploring flexible programming, which stacks smart automation training and academic coursework toward degree attainment.

Terra State Community College partnership

What we offer

A 2+2 degree pathway that allows Terra State Community College students to transfer all credits from six eligible associate degree programs directly into any of the undergraduate programs in the BGSU College of Engineering and Innovation.

Students complete their first two years at Terra State and finish their bachelor’s degree at BGSU, gaining both academic and hands-on experience that employers value.

This seamless transfer model:

  • Reduces the overall cost of a bachelor’s degree
  • Promotes on-time graduation
  • Supports workforce development in high-demand fields
