Our state-of-the-art facilities in the College of Engineering and Innovation are more than just learning spaces. They are catalysts for innovation and collaboration.

  • The tools students will use in the real world. Having access to modern, well-equipped facilities plays a key role in helping students apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world situations.
  • A launchpad for industry partnerships. Our facilities offer a platform for joint research, prototyping and workforce development.

New Technology Engineering Innovation Center

The 77,000-square-foot center – opening in spring 2026 – will be a dynamic hub for hands-on learning, cutting-edge research and industry collaboration. This expansion of the Technology Building will house seven state-of-the-art labs designed to immerse students in robotics, electronics, computer engineering and advanced manufacturing.

The facility’s flexible, future-ready spaces and advanced tools will create exciting opportunities for our students, faculty and industry partners to collaborate on forward-thinking solutions that drive regional and global progress.

One-of-a-kind Kokosing Hall

The School of the Built Environment is located in Kokosing Hall. This facility was intentionally crafted to mirror the collaborative nature of the architecture and construction industries. The building features state-of-the-art labs and open spaces that promote teamwork. These environments give students the opportunity to develop practical skills and work together – just as they will in their professional careers.

BGSU is proud to be the only institution in Ohio where students in architecture and construction management programs learn side by side. This integrated approach fosters cross-disciplinary understanding and prepares students to thrive in the interconnected world of the built environment.

On-campus airport and flight center

BGSU’s aviation program is headquartered at the Wood County Regional Airport, just north of main campus. The 40,000-square-foot Bowling Green Flight Center – operated by North Star Companies – provides a comprehensive, hands-on learning environment for future pilots.

Students benefit from access to a fleet of new aircraft, simulation rooms, classrooms, heated hangars, on-site maintenance and a PSI testing center for FAA exams.
