2. CHANGE 2023 Thought Leader Conference - Sept. 21-22
You’re invited to CHANGE 2023 on Sept. 21-22! Join a global and local convergence of practitioners, leaders, educators, activists and scholars committed to the power of collaborative change approaches that transform whole organizations, revitalize communities and develop human potential.
Best-selling authors James K Stoller, Peter J. Rea and Alan Kolp will start the Change 2023 Conference with a workshop about their newly released book, introducing how the Seven Classical Virtues matter in supporting better humans and, thus, better performance in your organization.

3. Come chat with us

4. Dance Dance Revolution has come to the Student Rec Center
Come groovy with us and play Dance Dance Revolution (DDR)! Drop-in play is from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Student Rec Center in the main floor lounge. DDR is a rhythm and dance game in which players stand on a "dance platform" and hit colored arrows laid with their feet to musical and visual cues.

5. Free and confidential HIV testing tomorrow at the SRC
This testing service, offered at the Student Recreation Center, is completely free and confidential. Call the Wellness Connection at 419.372.9355 to schedule an appointment for a Rapid HIV test. Walk-ins are always welcome. LGBTQ+ friendly and affirming. A real name is not needed when making the appointment.
Testing will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 20, Oct. 4 and 18, Nov. 1 and 15, and Dec. 6 in the Student Recreation Center. Bring a photo ID to the appointment.
Free internal and external condoms are available - testing is not required.

6. In the Round: Film screening and talk by Ryan RedCorn
"In the Round," a guest speaker series featuring Native American creatives, kicks off the 2023-24 school year with Ryan RedCorn, an accomplished screenwriter, filmmaker, playwright, graphic designer and photographer. Ryan’s work includes writing for the series Reservation Dogs and co-founding the all-Native comedy troupe, the 1491s. His short film, Dead Bird Hearts, will be screened at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, in the Donnell Theatre (Wolfe Center) followed by a talk at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

7. Join us at the Ohio Hunger Dialogues
The Ohio Hunger Dialogues is a state-wide conference focused on the issues of hunger in the local and global communities. Open to the general public, this dynamic dialogue seeks to engage attendees in conversations around the systematic issues of hunger and food insecurity in Ohio communities.
For Friday, Sept. 8, this day will focus on research, evaluation, professional practice and policy with an emphasis on our faculty, staff and community audiences.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, we will create spaces for students, activists and community-based practitioners to share best practices, discuss program examples and create ideas.

8. Join us tomorrow for Connect 4 Suicide Prevention
Join the Counseling Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the BGSU letters to play giant lawn Connect 4 and test your suicide prevention knowledge.

10. Open Mic Night!

11. QPR Suicide Prevention first training on Sept. 6
QPR will provide the skills and resources to respond and provide support to members of our BGSU community. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope, and know how to get help and save a life.

12. The ReStore opens Wednesday
The Campus ReStore offers a number of items to members of the University community who can use them. Our first event for the academic year is from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the ReStore in McDonald Hall Annex. Enter through the glass hallway/concourse from sliding doors on the east side, off College Avenue, across from the Life Sciences Building.
There is a $3 entry fee for this event (cash, credit/debit). Bring a reusable shopping bag. Office and school supplies, small furniture, books, towels/bedding, sporting goods, kitchen supplies, electronics, toiletries, craft items, hardware, cleaning supplies and more. 13. Save The Date: BGSU Day of Dialogue, Sept. 29
Join the Division of Diversity and Belonging for BGSU's Day of Dialogue on Friday, Sept. 29. We bring together students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community to listen, talk and learn as active participants as we attempt to address difficult issues.
This year's theme is "The Power of Conversation" and features keynotes by Dr. Blaze Campbell-Jacobs, assistant dean of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and Dr. Sandra Faulkner, professor of Media and Communication. Interactive sessions that workshop key topics immediately follow each keynote. Come and participate as you are able.

14. Anybody, any body - Rugby
Need a fun way to stay active and make amazing friends? Come and join BGSU Women's Club Rugby on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at College Park Rugby for practice. No experience is needed! Rugby is for everyone regardless of their activity level.

15. FREE Mental Health First Aid trainings
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it builds mental health literacy, providing an action plan that teaches people to identify and address a potential mental health or substance use challenge safely and responsibly.
The trainings will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union room 315.

16. SMC Colloquium presentations on social media influencers - Sept. 11
All are invited to attend two special presentations from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, on Zoom (Meeting ID: 824 6064 0716, Passcode: 2023).
Dr. Louisa Ha and Nuzaira Tarannum will deliver two presentations titled "Persuasive Effects of Social Media Influencers as Online Opinion Leaders" and "Belief in Conspiracy Theory and Intergenerational Sharing of Videos".

1. Apply to be on the 2023 BGSU Homecoming Court!
BGSU Homecoming is right around the corner! This year, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of BGSU Bands, a tradition that has been proud and true since its start.
The application for Homecoming Court is now live! You must be graduating in fall 2023, spring 2024 or summer 2024 to be eligible. The deadline to submit an application is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10.

3. Fundraising opportunity for student orgs at football games!
There are still some home football games available for student organizations to assist with post-game cleanup at Doyt Perry Stadium. This is a paying opportunity that follows each home football game. 6. Last chance to earn the Sustainability Leadership Certificate
Today is the last day to still qualify for earning the Sustainability Leadership Certificate.
The C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement is currently offering the Sustainability Leadership Certificate this semester from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. We have already been through one session and we would love to see you at the second session today! We will be meeting in Room 319 in the Education Building. Looking for a safe and supportive space to prioritize your LGBTQ+ mental well-being? Look no further! Join our in-person wellness program centered on LGBTQ+ self-care and mental health. Engage in meaningful discussions with individuals who share your experiences and challenges. This program is free to all students. View the different LGBTQ+ Care for Yourself and Well-Being programs and register! These programs occur every other Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

8. Mr. Agne’s Career Collection opens today
Are you in need of a new outfit for upcoming career fairs, job interviews or internships? Starting today, all students can stop by Mr. Agne’s Career Collection to get one free professional outfit with styling help from Fashion Merchandising and Product Development students. The shop serves as a “free thrift store” for active BGSU students, all of whom are eligible for one free outfit per year. The Career Collection is also accepting and appreciative of any donations, which can be dropped off at 444 Education Building or 118 Eppler Center.

9. Present your international/intercultural experiences at Global Engagement Conference
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURS) invites presentation proposals from undergraduate and graduate students of all disciplines. Oral, poster and photo/video presentations will be accepted. You will be able to showcase your work, build your resume and inspire other students to go abroad or study global, international or intercultural issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for students who have participated in internships, research, cultural experiences and more. The Embracing Global Engagement Conference will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Multipurpose Room, 228 Bowen-Thompson Student Union, along with a keynote presentation by Dr. Kristie Foell. Top presenters will receive an original glasswork designed by BGSU alumnus Austin Wittenberg at a later award ceremony. The presentation registration deadline is Sept. 27.
