1. Come see Oscar Award winner, Dustin Lance Black

The Creative Minds Series presents Dustin Lance Black: The Power of Story on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Kobacker Hall. The storyteller, social activist and Oscar Award-winning screenwriter (Milk, 2009) will share a handful of his own creative, personal and political stories to help shine a light on the incredible, transformative power of personal storytelling – whether such tales are shared on film, television, a theatre stage, courtroom, boardroom or across that most powerful stage there is for change: your own dining room table. 4. Diabetes Youth Services Walkathon!

The College Panhellenic Conference (CPC) will be hosting a Walkathon for Diabetes Youth Services, a local nonprofit that not only raises awareness for Type I (juvenile) diabetes, but also provides educational resources and services to both children and parents. This service event will take place on March 27. The official walk will begin at 11 a.m., but at 10 a.m. we invite participants and/or volunteers to meet in the Union Oval (the starting point for the walk) and enjoy free food and beverages, and the opportunity to learn more about DYS and CPC. 5. Focus group for a chance at a $25 Amazon gift card

Are you a parent whose children live in the home? Do your parents not have children living in the home? Parents who are considered empty nesters are invited to participate in a focus group on grocery habits and lifestyle with other people in the post-parental stage. 10. Open hours for Campus ReStore every Wednesday

The Campus ReStore will have open hours every Wednesday starting this Wednesday, February 9, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Located across from the Life Science Building through the McDonald sliding glass hallway doors, feel free to come by and check out our selection of school and office supplies, clothes and more for free! The Black Issues Conference (BIC) offers a forum for research and discussion of African American culture and issues impacting the African American community. 15. Presidents' Day volunteers needed

Monday, Feb. 21, the BGSU Office of Admissions is hosting our annual Presidents' Day Open House for high school seniors. Presidents' Day is the largest visit day of the year, with thousands of visitors exploring campus. In order to provide the best visit experience we can, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers to assist in various roles around campus. Volunteer opportunities include directing families to specific locations and answering questions they may have about BGSU.

1. Barbell workshop

A free, two-week course to help you learn basic barbell movements (i.e. Back Squat, Bent-Over Row, Bench Press, and Conventional Deadlift). Receive guidance from personal trainers on proper form of these movements and build familiarity and confidence with barbell training!

Offered Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the SRC weight room.

2. Come join FORGE this Wednesday!

Hello everyone! Join FORGE (Feminist Organization Rallying for Gender Equity) this Wednesday, Feb. 9, for our next meeting in Olscamp 208 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Ambassadors from the LGBTQ+ Center will talk us through a short Safe Zone training for students, which incorporates different pronouns, case studies and terminologies!

1. Course Evaluation Data: Using Results to Inform Pedagogy workshop

During this informative workshop, participants will learn about BGSU’s course evaluation process and discuss ways to apply data to enhance teaching and learning in future semesters. Facilitators will share campus-wide and college-specific results from previous semesters and show faculty how to access their course evaluation results and feedback. This session will also include a facilitated discussion regarding pedagogical tools and strategies based on each of the six common evaluative questions.

3. It's Okay Not to Be Okay session for employees

6. Susan Kosakowski retirement gathering

Please join us in saying goodbye and thank you to Susan Kosakowski, longtime BGSU employee and Schmidthorst College of Business recruiter, who is retiring Friday, Feb. 11.
