Pegah Kazemi, [she, her, hers] is a gradute of Alanus Hochschule, Bonn, Germany. Currently, she is a first-year MFA student at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, Department of Fine Art. As a painter and drawer, she has pursued the connection between hyperrealism and illustrative approach to human form as a dynamic object and volume on the canvas. She is seeking the alienation, metaphor, and objectivity of the figure and their relationship in between. Two works selected for this exhibition consist of self-portraits exploring the power of the color and the contrast with the immovability of the figure.
