About the College

Welcome to Bowling Green State University's College of Engineering and Innovation.

Our college, established in 1985, has grown into a leader in experiential and discovery-based learning. We are committed to providing top-tier education and hands-on learning experiences. The new Technology Engineering Innovation Center – opening in spring 2026 – is an exciting step forward as we continue to build on our strong foundation. It’s a space where students will collaborate in cutting-edge labs and use the latest industry-grade equipment.

We offer 21 undergraduate and graduate programs across three schools.

School of the Built Environment

The School of the Built Environment is the only school in Ohio in which architecture and construction management students learn and collaborate together, mirroring real-world practices. Our bachelor’s programs are both accredited and housed in the cutting-edge Kokosing Hall.

School of Aviation

Our School of Aviation has seen exponential growth and is home to Ohio’s largest flight program – and one of the best in the country. With a unique partnership with the Bowling Green Flight Center and an on-campus airport, our students receive exceptional training in our accredited flight technology and aviation management programs.

School of Engineering

Launched in 2023, the School of Engineering blends traditional engineering principles with innovative technology. We offer in-demand undergraduate and graduate degrees that align with workforce needs. Our newly approved degrees in robotics engineering, mechanical and manufacturing engineering, and electronic and computer engineering are designed to meet the highest educational standards and industry requirements.

A cornerstone of our college is the nationally accredited cooperative education program. For over 50 years, this program has linked students with more than 5,000 companies. It offers invaluable real-world work experiences, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared and well-connected in their professional fields.
