Enas Aref is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the College of Engineering and Innovation at Bowling Green State University, teaching in the Management and Technology and Quality Systems programs. Her work focuses on three areas: ergonomics, management, and STEM education, unified by a human-centered approach to teaching and research. She is committed to connecting classroom learning with real-world industry practice and to integrating AI literacy and ethical AI use into her courses, both to support student learning and to prepare students for how AI is being integrated into their own professional fields. She has developed and deployed multiple custom AI teaching interventions in the courses she teaches. Her teaching innovations include redesigning curricula around industry standards and professional competencies, and using hands-on, simulation-based methods to make complex concepts tangible for students. She also prioritizes mentorship and student-centered instruction, working closely with students to connect coursework to their professional goals.
