4. Shanklin Award for Research Excellence applications due in one week!

Graduate Student Senate wanted to send out another reminder that the Shanklin Award for Research Excellence application is due in just seven days! This is a great way to share your research with colleagues, students, faculty and staff right here on campus. The prize for 1st place in each division is $1,250 and 2nd place is $750. Even if you are not selected as a finalist for the award, you will still be invited to present your research on-campus - a great addition to your resume or CV! The application can be found on the GSS Canvas page.

Additionally, we've received a few questions about whether the papers need to be published in order to be submitted. Your papers do not need to be published. We understand the language between programs about what a paper is may vary, so just know that your research work does not need to be published for this award. More Shanklin Award for Research Excellence eligibility information.

Please reach out to gss@bgsu.edu with any questions you may have. We know there are a lot of "what-ifs" that come with this award, so if you are confused about anything, please send us an email!
