1. Did you know there's a food pantry on campus?

The Falcon Food Pantry is open during the summer semester on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Central Hall 109. ALL students, faculty and staff are welcome to stop in once a week to pick out a bag of groceries and hygiene items. We stock soups, pastas, quick meals, eggs, pads/tampons, shampoo, body wash/soap, diapers and more. We also have allergen free foods, gluten-free and vegan staples.

All you need to bring is your BGSU ID and a reusable bag.

When times are hard, we're here to help. Questions? Email foodpantry@bgsu.edu.

1. Sign up to table as a campus partner at Fall Campus Fest 2022

As we look forward to the beginning of the fall 2022 semester, we are so excited to open registration for Fall Campus Fest 2022! We anticipate over 300 student organizations, offices, departments and off-campus partners in attendance this year. We invite you and your team to sign up and welcome the new and returning Falcons to the fall 2022 semester and share your opportunities at Campus Fest!

Campus Fest is one of the first opportunities for new and returning students to interact with our campus organizations, campus opportunities and University resources via tabling in the Union Oval. Campus Fest attracts hundreds of clubs and thousands of BGSU community members each year, making it one of the best ways to share information about opportunities and get people involved with your office or department!

Campus Fest will take place on August 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Oval, University Lawn, and between the Education Building and University Hall. Check-in will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Campus Fest sign-ups are open now and will remain open until August 3 for campus partners.

2. New Quizzes in Canvas workshops

“New Quizzes” is an updated assessment engine that integrates with Canvas and replaces the current Quizzes functionality (Classic Quizzes) in Canvas. “New Quizzes” will be enabled for instructors to begin to familiarize themselves with the tool. There are new question types such as Categorization, Ordering and Hot Spots. Some other improvements you may notice include a more streamlined way to manage item banks and the ability to copy quizzes.

"Classic Quizzes" will be discontinued by the vendor in June 2024 at which time all assessments will need to be in "New Quizzes".
