Tests are available for those who are asymptomatic, experiencing symptoms, expect they have had a recent exposure, or are traveling from a high incidence area.

4. India's Democratic past, present and future

More than seven decades ago, India crafted a unique model for democracies around the world. Its founders instituted self-government in the face of profound ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural diversity. Today there are growing concerns that India is undergoing a sustained period of democratic backsliding. In this talk, Dr. Milan Vaishnav, Director and Senior Fellow, South Asia Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, will assess the trajectory of Indian democracy - its surprising origins, its resilience in spite of the odds and its uncertain future.

7. Campus race to zero waste starts February 1st!

The Campus Race to Zero Waste, formally known as RecycleMania, is a competition between colleges and universities across North America! This competition helps campuses promote waste reduction by reporting weekly recycling and trash amounts. Then these amounts are compared to other schools' and are ranked depending on various categories based on who recycles the most on a per capita basis, as well as which schools have the best recycling rate as a percentage of total waste, and which schools generate the least amount of combined trash and recycling. We are aiming to inspire, empower, mobilize and educate our Falcons to reduce or eliminate waste. Students, faculty and staff can help BGSU with this competition by recycling right (follow the signage on containers) and often, keeping contaminants such as plastic bags, paper towels, food, PPE, pizza boxes, etc., out of recycling and reducing the amount of waste that is created and by educating others on the proper way to recycle.

4. Body positivity and acceptance keynote

There are many words & phrases in reference to one of the most important parts of our existence as human beings—the body. Bodies - we use them & we envision them to somehow be different in the future. Have you ever paused to wonder why it is we think about our bodies in a certain way or what we prioritize certain aspects of our bodies over others? This interactive workshop will look deeply into how & why we perceive our bodies in a certain way, opening up conversation on how we could learn to love & appreciate them even more. You will dig deeply into the body-image messaging of your past & work individually to reset your body narrative to reflect the power you have now & have within. This is especially important as we find ourselves dealing with the emotional, mental, & physical stress & trauma of the current global crisis.

Open to all members of the BGSU community. Event: Wednesday, February 10 at 7 p.m. Register at bgsu.edu/TheMirnavator
