Transfer Scholarship FAQs

No. Students who previously attended BGSU are not eligible for transfer scholarships offered through the Office of Admissions.

Qualified students can be awarded the Transfer Opportunity Scholarship.  In addition, qualified students who are non-Ohio residents can also receive the BG Success Scholarship.  It is important to note that scholarships awarded through the Office of Admissions are tuition specific and cannot be used to offset any other costs/fees.  Full terms and conditions are included with any scholarship awarded.

Any two or four year regionally accredited college or university in the United States, excluding BGSU Firelands.

Yes, if a recipient meets the defined renewal criteria.

No.  These scholarships are only available to qualified main campus transfer students who are enrolled full time.

No. Students must be enrolled full time on main campus to qualify.

International students may qualify for the BG Success Scholarship if they meet the defined criteria.

No.  Students who transfer in during the summer term are not eligible.

No. Transfer scholarships are for instructional fees, and your employee fee waiver already covers the full instructional fee.

No. Only students working on their first bachelor’s degree are eligible for transfer scholarships.
