NAWE officially ended in 2000.

The Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA) is an independent regional Association promoting the professional development of practitioners, educators, and students engaged in the student affairs profession. Founded in 1949, SACSA includes members from fifteen southern states. The collection is comprised of executive council minutes and report, conference files, committee and subject files, financial records, publications, and photographs.

MS 403 Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values

The AFLV was formed in 2008 when the boards and membership of the Mid-American Greek Council Association and the Western Region Greek Association voted to consolidate the two organizations.  The AFLV began operation on July 1, 2009.  The collection includes executive committee files, state and regional files, conference and committee files, awards process files, officer correspondence, newsletters, directories, publications, and audio-visual materials of the AFLV’s predecessor associations.

This group was organized in 1967 by several senior student affairs officers who wished to develop a forum for discussion of issues common to Vice Presidents or Deans of Students. The collection is comprised of three cubic feet of correspondence, conference files, resumes of members, and newsletters.

MS 974 Council for the Advancement of Standards-Student Services/Development Programs

Organized in 1979-1980, the Council's records include six cubic feet of organizational documents, minutes, correspondence, self-assessment guides, professional standards publications and studies, and member files. This association is involved in developing and distributing standards for various aspects of student services and development in higher education.

MS 989 Gamma Sigma Alpha, National Greek Academic Honor Society

Gamma Sigma Alpha was founded to promote intellectual interaction between Greek students and the academic community.  The collection consists of administrative files and dissertations on topics concerning student life at colleges and universities especially regarding academic achievement and Greek letter societies.

MS 1043 American College Counseling Association
1991 to the present
First established as a division of the American Association for Counseling and Development, the primary mission of the American College Counseling Association is to serve those in higher education whose professional identity is counseling and whose purpose is fostering student development. The ACCA collection includes four cubic feet of executive council minutes, constitutions and bylaws, handbooks, committee files, financial reports, conference files and publications, dating from 1991 to the present.

MS 1068 Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling

Recognized as a state affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling as early as 1946, this organization is comprised of professionals dedicated to assisting high school students in the transition from high school to college. The collection consists of minutes, conference and workshop files, committee files, financial reports, newsletters and photographs.

MS 1070 Network Addressing Collegiate Alcohol and Other Drug Issues
1996-2010
Established in 1987 by the U.S. Department of Education, the Network is a national consortium of institution of higher education professionals aimed at sharing and disseminating information to help curb alcohol and other drug abuse as well as violent behavior among college students. The collection consists of publications, meeting notes, standards, forums for senior administrators, membership rosters, and annual reports.

The American College Health Association, established in 1920, is dedicated to the field of student health needs in colleges and universities.  The collection is comprised of annual meeting proceedings, board minutes, section, committee and subject files, publications, and photographs.  

MS 1108 Alice Manicur Papers
1968-1999
Alice Manicur served as the first woman president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. She was dean of students at Frostburg State University for many years. In 1996, the NASPA Symposium for Women Aspiring to be Chief Student Affairs Officers was named for her. Her papers include scrapbooks, speeches and presentations, and awards.

The National Association for Campus Activities has evolved into the nation’s largest collegiate organization for campus activities, with programs and services designed to reflect the field’s increased responsibilities for student leadership development as well as entertainment programming. The collection includes conference programs, publications, and regional records.

Established in 1925, as the first state association affiliated with the American College Health Association, this collection includes board minutes, membership directories, financial records, annual meeting files, and publications.  

MS 1181 Phyllis L. Mable Papers
2001-2012
Papers documenting Mable’s life and career in student affairs and higher education, reflecting personal reminiscences by professional colleagues and former students. Also included is her resume, files reflecting ACPA awards presented to her, correspondence with Longwood University and Cornell University, contact lists, and photographs.

MS 1204 Charles G. Eberly Collection
1971-2010
Collection comprised of correspondence, promotion, course curricula/syllabi, research, and subject files from Charles Eberly's lengthy career in higher education at Michigan State University and Eastern Illinois University.  Research strengths include testing and evaluation, student development, and Greek life.

MMS 1961 Philip A. Tripp Papers
1952-2007
A small collection including writings, resumes and biographies, news clippings, copies of photographs and awards of a Student Affairs professional who served as a counselor at Chicago State University, Dean of Students at Georgetown University, architect of the earliest federal financial aid programs while serving at the U.S. Office of Education, and finally as Professor of Education at The Ohio State University; he played a substantial role in the emergence of ACPA and NASPA as the primary shapers of the profession and its future.

MMS 1963 Nevitt Sanford Papers (1909-1995)
1981-1995
A small collection including writings by Sanford, an interview, article, and biographical information about Nevitt Sanford.  During the 1960s, Sanford was instrumental in initiating the concept of student development in colleges and universities, effectively changing the view that college does not change students in any measurable sense.  Donated by biographer Harry Canon.

MMS 1969 William Harold Cowley Papers (1899-1978)
1931-1966, 1976-1978
This collection comprises a set of the writings of W.H. Cowley, as well as a small amount of correspondence and a memorial resolution. Cowley was a Professor of Higher Education at Stanford University from 1945-1968. He was one of the first scholars in the world to advocate for the scholarly study of Higher Education, and was a prolific and thoughtful producer of such scholarship.

MMS 2009 Eleanor Margaret Schetlin Papers (1920-2007)
1967-2007
Small collection of selected excerpts and drafts of journal articles from her thesis "Selected Writings of Esther McDonald Lloyd-Jones from 1929-1966," and an article with a published reminiscence and a copy of her obituary. Schetlin was an education professional with a long career in Student Personnel Services at Hunter College, Columbia University and the Health Sciences Center, SUNY.
