1. Education Building chilled water conversion work

Beginning Monday, June 14 until August, 2021, as part of the CCP Infrastructure Ridge Street Tunnel Repairs Project, construction work associated with the conversion of the Education Building to central plant supplied air conditioning will begin. Specific work starting on Monday, will be excavation work on the west side of the building to install new chilled water lines to the building. There will also be additional work starting inside the ground floor to run new chilled water piping in a chase to the penthouse mechanical room.

The building will remain open and cooled during this work. Minimal disruption if any will occur inside or outside the building during this work. Some intermittent noise may be noticed when work gets closer to Penthouse.

Please refer to BGSU’s Interactive Campus Map for additional details.

1. Take BGP course Intro to Folklore this summer!

POPC2200 Intro to Folklore & Folklife is available during Summer Session 6W2. Throughout this course we will consider different definitions of folklore, and we will continue to come back to the question of what texts (defined broadly to include music, artistic expression, and ritual practices) might be considered examples of folklore, and the functions they serve in social life. Students will become familiar with a variety of folklore forms and genres. We will explore many of the basic concepts of folklore scholarship in order to better understand what people hold to be particularly meaningful.
