Business Process Improvement

BGSU Information Technology Services (ITS) provides Business Process Improvement services to help University departments evaluate and improve existing business processes. Working collaboratively with campus partners, the ITS Project Management Office (PMO) helps identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary steps, reduce manual effort, improve handoffs, clarify roles, and increase overall efficiency and effectiveness.

The PMO uses established process improvement practices, including Lean principles and techniques, to understand the current process, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical recommendations for a more effective future state. The approach is tailored to the needs and complexity of each process.

Faculty and staff who would like assistance improving an existing business process may submit a Business Process Improvement request through the ITS Service Catalog.
