Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassadors program is a leadership opportunity for students who are would like to mentor fellow students and represent Bowling Green State University and the College of Health and Human Services.
What do Ambassadors do?
- Lead the way by conducting department and program tours for new students, schools, classes and guests.
- Represent CHHS during BGSU events and assist with duties and tasks related to events put on by various College departments.
- Collaborate with others in problem-solving and decision-making to attain group goals and objectives.
- Build your knowledge of the BGSU College of Health and Human Services and its mission, and communicate those values effectively to the BGSU community.
- Support student success by working with diverse populations and sharing tips on how to be a successful student.
- Create content by contributing to College of Health and Human Services social media efforts.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Who can apply to be an Ambassador?
We’re looking for current CHHS students who:
- Are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours or will be enrolled in 12 credit hours when the position begins
- Have completed, or will have completed, at least 24 credit hours before the appointment begins
- Have a semester and cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline and enthusiasm, along with a willingness to grow personally and professionally
- Value the mission of a health and human services education and the importance of becoming a well-rounded, flexible thinker with transferable skills and intellectual creativity
- Have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
