Rogers Report | BGSU
In this edition of the Rogers Report, we visit the new Bowling Green State University School of Nursing in Central Hall. The state-of-the-art facility officially opened to students last fall, and since then, BGSU has seen incredible growth in its nursing programs. That interest comes at a critical time for our region and state with a growing need for healthcare workers. I'm excited to show you this incredible facility and introduce you to our inspiring students who are meeting that demand and graduating ready to enter the workforce and create public good.
I hope you enjoy seeing our nursing programs and reading just some of my favorite stories in this month's edition of the Rogers Report!

This month on the Rogers Report:
The School of Nursing features state-of-the-art lab facilities and an impressive lineup of clinical opportunities — all geared to meet the most pressing healthcare needs of the region and nation and position BGSU students for success in a rapidly growing job market.
At BGSU, our mantra is a public university for the public good, and the impact of our work spans the globe. This summer, our researchers, including students, traveled to Kenya's Lake Victoria to explore the causes of toxic algal blooms, what could be done to halt them and the similarities to Lake Erie. Clean, safe water is a universal issue, and I am so proud of the work happening right here at BGSU.
This fall, BGSU joined the Ohio Export Internship program in partnership with the Ohio Department of Development. The program provides training for our students to use their knowledge to help Ohio businesses strengthen their export programs, supporting both student success and the economic vitality of our state. As a leader in business education, this partnership closely aligns with our mission to educate business leaders across the state and beyond.
As the national demand for pilots continues to grow, BGSU has created a pathway for students to enter the workforce faster through a newly formed partnership with one of the largest regional airlines in the United States, Republic Airways. The partnership strengths our rapidly growing aviation program, meeting a critical workforce need for the future of transportation.

The BGSU football team celebrates with the Battle of I-75 trophy after defeating rival Toledo 42-35 on Tuesday at the Glass Bowl. The Falcons, who trailed by one inside the final minute, scored the game-winning touchdown with nine seconds to play and became bowl eligible for the first time since 2015.
