1. BGSU internet outage and maintenance scheduled for March 17

On Thursday, March 17, beginning at 11 p.m. through Friday, March 18, at 3 a.m., Information Technology Services (ITS) will perform maintenance on the BGSU network equipment. During this time there will be a 15–20 minute internet outage to both the wired and wireless networks for all of campus.

2. Free SNL style COMEDY SHOW!

This Saturday, Lady Parts Comedy welcomes back some professionals! Join us as we reunite with comedy legends at our alumni show. It's going to be a crazy night filled with drama, nostalgia and hilarious jokes nonstop. The show will be in Education Building room 115, at 7 p.m. It is free to attend! We hope to see you there, bestie.

3. Informal chat in French: Cercle français meets Thursdays

Meet with other students to brush up on your French without having to stress about being in a classroom. Participants decide on the topics (music, film, games). Meeting time at 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays, although the Cercle can extend beyond 3:30 p.m. for students in class until then. Drop in when you can. 4. Presentation registration closing soon for Symposium on Diversity

"Strong Hearts, Diverse Minds: How Liberal Education focused on Inclusive Diversity Helps a World on Fire"

Undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines may submit proposals to give a poster presentation on research, scholarly, or creative work related to diversity in the broadest sense (including culture, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, age, disability and socio-economic status). Both group and individual presentations will be accepted. Presentations can be based on work completed either as part of a course or as an extra-curricular project under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

6. Speaker series: The Importance of Youth Voting

BGSU Votes and Undergraduate Student Government will be hosting our first speaker event on Friday, March 18, at 6 p.m. in Olscamp room 225. Join us, along with local elected officials, to discuss the importance of the youth vote, voter engagement among diverse populations, and how to run for elected office.

7. Temporary road closure March 18

There will need to be a temporary road closure due to construction activities for the new Kokosing Hall. On Friday, March 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. the following roads will be closed: South end of Park Ave., the east end of LeRoy St. (near Biology Greenhouse) and the driveway east of Technology, between Lot R and Park Ave.

2. Coca-Cola student bracket challenge

Coca-Cola is having a bracket challenge for March Madness! The top performing BGSU student will have a chance to win an airline voucher, Air Pods or a $100 Grubhub gift card.

Brackets for the men's tournament must be filled out by March 17 at noon. Brackets for the women's tournament must be filled out by March 18 at noon.

3. CPR class with MEDLIFE!

Medlife is hosting a CPR certification class on Monday, March 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. Location is TBD. An email will be sent out with the location before the session!

The price for the class will be $25 for non-members and $15 for MEDLIFE members who have paid their dues. Feel free to invite non-Medlife members!

4. Don’t miss your chance to dine with President Rogers

Your voice makes a difference, so we have extended the annual Changing Campus Climate survey to give you a chance to participate. If you have already responded, thank you! If not, please take a few moments and support our efforts to help keep the BGSU community safe. One lucky student will get the chance to dine with President Rogers.

5. Legally Blonde on Monday!

6. LGBTQ+? graduating in 2022?

Lavender Graduation celebrates queer- and trans-spectrum students who will graduate in spring, summer, or fall commencement of 2022. This year's Lavender Graduation celebration will include a ceremony on April 6 at 4 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Multipurpose Room and we will also highlight graduating LGBTQ+ seniors and graduate students the week of April 11 via Facebook (@BGSULGBTQRC) and Instagram (@bgsu_lgbtq) with posts throughout the week. Students can register for one or both opportunities here (by March 31st, please).

7. Logo contest for Cross-Cultural Conversation Connection program

Are you interested in utilizing your creative skills to potentially win some gift cards? We have an opportunity for you!

The Cross-Cultural Conversation Connection (CCCC) is an extracurricular program that has been organized and facilitated by the English for Speakers of Other Languages office since 1995. The CCCC program runs during the fall and spring semesters and connects domestic students and international students in small conversation groups, each with group leader(s). The purpose of the Cross-Cultural Conversation Connection is to develop cultural understanding in today's global community by connecting people from different cultures through conversation.

8. McNair Scholars program accepting new cohort members!

Are you interested in research? Is there a topic you are interested in that you would like to learn more about? Are you interested in pursuing graduate school after your graduation from BGSU? Would you like the opportunity to stay on campus for the summer and get PAID to do your own independent research?

The Ronald E. McNair Scholars program is looking for students interested in pursuing research and graduate school plans after completing their undergraduate program! Some of the benefits we offer are personalized advising, graduate school preparation and campus visits, and payment for research completed during our summer research program.

The Falcon Softball team has their first series at home against the Huskies of Northern Illinois. Friday’s game will start at 3:00 p.m. Saturday’s games will start at 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. Come out and support the Falcons for their first home series. Admission is free for all BGSU students.

1. Money Mindset Masterclass

Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs & the Center for Women and Gender Equity on March 21 in BTSU 201A from noon to 1 p.m. for an interactive experience this Womxn’s History Month with wealth advisor and founder of Financially EmpowHERed, Stephanie Georgakopoulos!

The Money Mindset Masterclass is a phenomenal experience where womxn learn the four money personality types (Money Evader, Money Idolizer, Money Spender and Money Saver), how their type has impacted their relationship with money, how it has held them back, and what they can do to change that relationship. The session will also dive deep into the eight most common money blocks that appear due to these personality traits and actionable tips and tricks to eradicate them fast!

Masks are encouraged. Please feel free to bring your lunch with you.

3. Register for the virtual Teaching and Learning Summit!

The Center for Faculty Excellence is delighted to welcome you to the virtual 2022 Teaching & Learning Summit. The theme for this year’s summit is Teaching in the New Normal: Centering Equity & Inclusion. Presentations will explore the intersections of accessibility, equity and inclusion in relation to teaching in the new normal. Featured presentations include a keynote by Dr. Thomas Tobin and a panel presentation by CFE Faculty Associates.

The 2022 Teaching and Learning Summit will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m. The event is open to BGSU faculty and staff. The conference will be held virtually and there is no cost to attend.

4. Safe Zone training

The Safe Zone workshop promotes awareness of LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer +) people. The workshop provides education concerning LGBTQ+ issues and seeks to improve the environment for LGBTQ+ people. This workshop helps to build a support network of allies for the BGSU LGBTQ+ community.
