1. Attend the Expand Your Horizons fair next week!

Civic Engagement in the Marvin Center for Student Leadership is partnering with departments across campus to bring you the Expand Your Horizons Fair! Attend this fair Sept. 22 to learn more about hands-on learning experiences and ways to explore your involvement in service, the community and beyond.

2. Insurance and Risk Management Institute Symposium

The Department of Finance is inviting all faculty, staff and students to the Insurance and Risk Management Institute Symposium- "Insurance Industry During and After the Pandemic". This will take place today in Bowen-Thompson Student Union Room 206. Registration begins at 3 pm. Students that attends will receive 50 SCoB points.

3. Post Game Fireworks at Football Game Saturday

It's HOMECOMING! And what better way to celebrate than Fireworks? Stick around after the game Saturday for fireworks on the North end of the stadium above the Sebo Center. The game starts at 5 p.m. Students can get parking pass.

4. Volunteer at Expand Your Horizons!

Volunteer at Expand Your Horizons on Sept. 22! This fair is a great opportunity to learn more about hands-on learning experiences - and gain some volunteer hours while you're at it! Sign up for a volunteer shift.

5. Women’s Soccer Hosts Xavier Tonight

The Women’s Soccer Team will welcome Xavier into town. This game is scheduled to kick off at 6 tonight at Cochrane Stadium. Admission to all Women’s Soccer games is free.

1. Career Chats: CV to Resume for Graduate Students

The Career Center will host "Career Chats: CV to Resume for Graduate Students" from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 24. Engage with graduate students regarding tip & improvements for a professional resume.

2. Student Ticketing for Homecoming Game

We are excited to welcome all students to all our Falcon Athletics home games! Students receive one free season ticket to each of our ticketed sports: Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Basketball.

Admission is FREE for all other sports.

All tickets will be digital and can be accessed through your Ticket Office account. Accounts will be created for new students. Once tickets become available, another e-mail will be sent with instructions on how to login and access your tickets!

3. Expand Your Horizons Fair

Join us, Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Ballroom (southside)!

4. Football Game Parking Pass For Students

It's HOMECOMING! We look forward to seeing all students at the Homecoming football game with the Falcons taking on Murray State. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets for students are completely free. Download your tickets. Stick around after the game for post game fireworks!

Show your parking pass to the parking attendant on the East side of the stadium.

5. National Hazing Prevention Week: Green Dot Training

Time of Event 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Do you want to learn how to intervene in risk situations? Or have you wondered how toxic traits show up in hazing activities? Register and attend a Green Dot training from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Learn about bystander intervention and how you can be proactive in high risk situations. Register for the event.

6. Register Today for the Fall EXPO Job & Internship Fair!

Sign up today to engage with over 150+ employers on 10/6 and almost 100 employers on 10/7. The Fall EXPO is now a 2-day event that allows employers to engage with candidates in-person, virtually, or both! Each event day features different employers!

7. World Day and International Peace Day

The world observes an International Day of Peace every year on the 21st of September. Understanding different cultures and languages allows us to embrace our differences and appreciate cultural diversity. Join students and faculty from the department of World Languages and Cultures to discuss how learning languages and cultures can contribute to your career and life path. Join us on Shatzel Hall Porch on Sept. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

1. “BGP 101”--Introduction to BGSU’s gen ed program

Faculty and staff are invited to join members of the BGP Committee for an overview of BG Perspective, BGSU's general education program. This "BGP 101" session will be offered via Zoom and will allow time for questions and informal chat. Especially recommended for BGP faculty who have not previously taught BGP courses nor submitted BGP assessment data.

2. New Faculty Fridays - National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), Friday

New Faculty Fridays is a semester-long orientation process designed for full-time faculty and instructors who have been at BGSU for less than 12 months. New Faculty Fridays are opportunities to connect with other faculty members. During these meetings faculty members will learn about institutional resources, programs, and processes to support their success and the success of their students.

3. Athletics Ticketing Information

Faculty and staff, don’t miss out on the excitement this year with Falcon Athletics! There are great opportunities that exist for you to receive discounted, or even FREE, tickets to BGSU games this school year! Here is what BGSU Athletics is offering full time faculty and staff this season:

Football: One free 2021 BGSU Football Season Ticket in general admission of Doyt L. Perry Stadium or the chance to upgrade their ticket to a bench reserved seat for as low as $25.

Volleyball: One free 2021 BGSU Volleyball Season Ticket in general admission of the Stroh Center. Additional season tickets can be purchased for $50.

Hockey: Get a bench reserved season ticket for the 2021 BGSU Hockey season for only $190, a $50 savings off the public price!

Men’s Basketball: Get a chairback reserved season ticket for the 2021 BGSU Men’s Basketball season for only $140, a $33 savings off the public price!
