Help create a Community of Care at BGSU and make sure no Falcon struggles unnoticed and alone! Start the Conversation is a collaborative training offered by the Counseling Center and the Humanities Troupe from the Department of Theatre and Film. In the training, you will learn how to contribute to a community of care, how to identify the warning signs of people who may be struggling and how to help (including suicide prevention strategies). Simple expressions of care are powerful, and you can make a difference in someone's life!
The next training is Wednesday, May 26, from 3 to 4 p.m. via Zoom. Register and learn more about how you can help create a community of care at BGSU!

Do you like music? Are you looking for a fun summer BGP class? If so, then check out Exploring Music! In this course — MUCT 1010-401W (6w1) — you'll learn how music helps movies tell stories, what reggae and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony have in common, and why music is not a universal language. We'll examine how music intersects with ethnicity, gender, war, politics, and more. This is a web-based course. No previous musical training needed. For further details, contact Dr. Ryan Ebright at eryan@bgsu.edu.
BGSU is planning to adopt a new curriculum and catalog management platform to improve the efficiency and transparency of the curriculum development and review process; to create a digital catalog to improve the accuracy of degree audits and allow prospective and continuing students to clearly understand program requirements; and to improve the overall consistency and accuracy of the graduate and undergraduate curriculum.

Sessions on curriculum and catalog components are from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., with technology discussed at 2. Presentations will be recorded.
