The Falcon Family is truly what makes this University so special. Our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends form a bond that strengthens BGSU. Thousands of Falcons have walked our campuses, each leaving his or her legacy. Share your story.

Football season kicks off in September, and the University is hosting an excursion to our game against the University of Tennessee September 4-6. The game will be played at LP Field, home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans. Join us for an exciting weekend filled with BGSU football and everything that Nashville has to offer! Reserve your spot.

Bravo
Planning is underway for the 2016 Bravo! BG, a signature event to provide scholarships for students in the University Arts programs. The event is set for April 2, 2016. Save the date, and prepare to experience an evening of world-class performances and exhibitions in the beautiful Wolfe Center for the Arts!

The BGSU Campus Campaign is nationally recognized for its impact on students and University initiatives. Though BGSU relies heavily on the private support of our alumni and friends, our faculty, staff and retirees invest in the future of this great University. For fiscal year 2015, we saw record numbers, surpassing last year’s amount by almost $200,000 with a total of $950,000. Since the campaign began in 1999, more than $12 million has been contributed in support of BGSU.

Homecoming
The University is excited to welcome back alumni and friends for Homecoming, October 16-18. It will be a great weekend for BGSU! View the schedule of events and register online next week.

Bowling Green State University and ESPN have announced a new partnership – the ESPN3 university production initiative. As a result, at least 35 events in men's and women's basketball and volleyball will be featured this year. In addition to showcasing our athletic programs, this new coverage will help to raise awareness of the University nationally.

Bravo
Rebekah Nelson joins Samantha Boss and Jessica Batterton as BGSU’s latest Fulbright scholars. They will have the opportunity to make an educational impact through their work in Germany, Mexico and Rwanda, respectively. The Fulbright Program is an international exchange designed to increase mutual understanding between different cultures.

BGSU thanks the 13,808 individuals and 648 foundations and corporations who contributed their philanthropic support this past fiscal year. This gift of opportunity is an outstanding example of the investment people have in this University. A total of $21.1 million was raised this past year!

In 2015-16 we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of BGSU Firelands! All year, we invite alumni, current students and the community to join in recognizing the history and success of the college. Learn more today.

The University continues to develop more opportunities for students to learn. Our new eCampus model integrates academics with online teaching and blended programs. You can now complete courses in a more convenient and interactive setting.

State of the University
On August 28 at 10:30 a.m., I will deliver the annual State of the University address. BGSU has accomplished so much this past academic year. Together, let’s continue to work hard to ensure that the future is even better for Bowling Green State University!
