1. Get Comprehensive Blood Analysis for $50

Date and Time: From 7-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Learn more about the Blood Analysis Program.

Description: Receive a $300 blood analysis for $50 at the 19th Annual Blood Analysis Program from 7-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. Open to all BGSU students, this comprehensive blood analysis screening is for multiple health risk indicators including, but not limited to blood sugar, blood count, kidney function, electrolytes, liver function and lipid profile and requires a 10-hour fast. Proceeds benefit the Wood County Hospital Foundation and Chamber Foundation's scholarships.

2. Still time to donate to WYMO

Date and Time: From Monday, April 22 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Description: The Office of Campus Sustainability is hosting its 23rd annual WYMO donation program. This event is one of BGSU’s largest and longest running community service projects where donations are given a second life for the public good! We have multiple volunteer spots still open to help us with collection during Finals Week, see the link above to register. If you are moving off campus for the summer and have usable items and non-perishable foods that you no longer want, you can donate them by placing them in the collection bins around campus. These donations will benefit a multitude of different local non-profits and food pantries, as well as the Campus ReStore.

Who: Any BGSU student, faculty or staff member.

What can be donated: Clothes, furniture, books, school supplies, toiletries, non-perishable food items and ANYTHING still usable! See the WYMO website for more details on what you can donate.

4. 3rd Annual Epsilon Pi Tau - Alpha Gamma Chapter Spring 2024 Food Drive

Description: The 3rd Annual Epsilon Pi Tau - Alpha Gamma Chapter Spring 2024 Food Drive is collecting non-perishable items through Friday, April 26 in collection boxes located at the Technology Building and Kokosing Hall. This effort is in honor and memory of Dr. Dick Horton, TAAE faculty member and Trustee Emeritus of Epsilon Pi Tau (EPT) – Alpha Gamma chapter. Donations will be distributed to the Falcon Food Pantry and the Brown Bag Food Project.

Epsilon Pi Tau is the Leading International Honor Society for Technology. Epsilon Pi Tau recognizes academic excellence of students in fields devoted to the study of technology and the preparation of practitioners for the technology professions. EPT also extends the honor of membership and advancement activities to outstanding practitioners in the technology professions, scholars with exemplary research interests in technology in society and/or persons who have significantly supported or advanced technology professions.

Description: This class is open to all! You do not have to be an Interior Design major to take this course. Anyone who is interested in learning more about design and exploring fundamental concepts of design will enjoy this class.

The class begins with an overview of the interior design profession and continues with an examination of the design process with emphasis on creative problem solving and development of competencies in space planning and presentations.

This section of ID 1160 is taught 100% online! Online classes have no set meeting times, so this will fit everyone's schedule.

Description: Registration for the annual Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) Teaching and Learning Summit is now open! The theme for this year’s Summit is “Forward: The Future of Teaching and Learning.” This year’s Summit will envision what teaching excellence and student success looks like in the university classroom of the future. The keynote speech, “AI for Humanity: Artificial Intelligence, Higher Education and the Public Good,” delivered by Dr. Betsy Barre, Ph.D., the Executive Director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching at Wake Forest University, will reflect on the practical and ethical implications of AI use in teaching and learning.

Registration is open to all members of the BGSU community. Participants who register by Friday, April 26 will receive a boxed lunch during the keynote luncheon.

Description: The first two weeks of a semester are a crucial part of developing a sense of belonging and a pathway toward success for our students. The hands-on workshop, “Setting a Course for Student Success in the First Two Weeks,” will explore strategies for engaging students, setting meaningful expectations for the semester and providing students with early, actionable feedback. Led by the CFE team and faculty facilitators, this workshop will provide you with an intentional, student-centered plan for the first two weeks of class. You must be able to participate in the entirety of the two-day workshop in order to register and participate in this event. Registration is open to full-time qualified rank faculty (QRF), tenure-track faculty (TTF) and adjunct instructors teaching a Fall 2024 course.
