Graduate Student Orientation Week

Graduate Student Orientation Week occurs prior to the start of each Spring and Fall term.

If your program is offered on-campus, Graduate Student Orientation week provides time for you to meet with your program faculty and peers to engage in your departmental orientation experience.  Each department plans their own unique orientation experience that meets their college and program needs to prepare new graduate students.  Also, during Graduate Student Orientation week, you can find time to complete your Student Employment on-boarding process and pick up your BG1 Card (student ID).

Each academic department may hold program specific orientations.  You can contact your department or your Graduate Student Ambassador if you need more information about the programming by your department. Please note that some departments may require their students to be on campus prior to Graduate Student Orientation week to attend training.

For more details regarding the mandatory International Student Orientation, please visit the International Student Orientation webpage.

Students receiving an assistantship will need to bring two forms of identification (ID) for personnel purposes. Recommended IDs are a current passport OR a valid driver's license/state identification card AND an original social security card or original birth certificate. Photocopies will not be accepted!  You will be presenting this documentation as part of the on-boarding process with Student Employment Services.

Please stop by the Student Employment Services Office (225 Bowen-Thompson Student Union) on during Graduate Student Orientation Week between the hours of 11 AM - 4 PM.  If you can't make it during those set times, please visit during their office hours.
