Kacee Ferrell Snyder, Ph.D., is the Director of the Center for Women and Gender Equity & Gender Violence Prevention and Education Services. Kacee has worked in a variety of functional areas in higher education for over 15 years. However, she has an established record of supporting students in their growth and clearing pathways for access and educating and empowering others in order to help them access the resources they need to be successful. She is a two-time alumna from BGSU with a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and an M.A. in College Student Personnel from the institution, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Ohio State University. She is a mother of two and she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Kacee currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for The Cocoon, Chair of Admnistrative Staff Council at BGSU, is a member of the Shakespeare Roundtable, Vice President for Programming for the Bowling Green chapter of the American Association of University Women, and just finished a 6-year term on the BG Community Foundation board as a trustee. She looks forward to continuing to support students, faculty, and staff as we work together to advance the potential for gender equity at BGSU and beyond.

Kori Koschalk-Newmister is the Student Engagement Coordinator in the Center for Women and Gender Equity and the Center for Violence Prevention and Education. Kori spent nearly 13 years in the world of non-profit, facilitating comprehensive sexuality education with Toledo area youth. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from BGSU in 2007. Kori is ecstatic to be back on campus, promoting the incredible work of the CWGE! In her free time, she enjoys crafting, baking, spending time with family, and traveling with her husband and dogs!

Carissa Newsome, M.A. is the Coordinator in the Center for Women and Gender Equity. She earned her M.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) from the University of Cincinnati and her B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies and Political Science from Cleveland State University. She has spent the past few years working in higher education, teaching WGSS courses and working in a diversity and inclusion center. In her professional and personal life, she is a sex workers’ rights activist. She loves fashion, music, and hanging out with her cats, Sophie and Stevie.

Loni Stouffer is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Higher Education Administration Program at BGSU. She earned her M.A. in English Literature from the University of Toledo and her B.A. in English from The College of Wooster. Before coming to BGSU, she spent several years working in higher education teaching English courses and previously working in undergraduate enrollment. Loni is thrilled to be working as a graduate assistant in CWGE, where she leads a feminist book club that blends her love of literature with her interests in gender equity work. Loni loves to spend her free time baking and dancing in her kitchen, reading in a cozy nook, and traveling.

Dylan Reid

Dylan Reid Miller is a PhD candidate in BGSU’s American Culture Studies program and a loving cat parent of two. She received a BFA in Film Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MA from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she wrote about genderqueer posthumanist potential in the Star Trek shows of the 1990s. Her current research expands on this work by focusing on counterhegemonic temporalities in science fiction television and video games. Dylan is a devoted activist and hopes to bring this energy to the CWGE to fight for the issues of equity and inclusion that matter to the Falcon student body.

Jennifer is a second-year student at Bowling Green State University. She is majoring in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her minor is Business. She is from Columbus, Ohio. She is a Feminist Ambassador (FAB) for the CWGE as well as a representative for the CCAMPIS/ Student Parent Program. She loves to draw, paint, hang out with her little brother, and listen to music. She is looking forward to educating herself and others through the lens of the CWGE and the CCAMPIS/Student Parent Program. She is also looking forward to applying the knowledge she gains from the CWGE to her Major.

Makenna Flores

Makenna is a second-year student majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Advertising. She is from Genoa, Ohio and is also the Campus Correspondent/Chapter Leader for BGSU’s Her Campus chapter. She enjoys spending her time with her family and friends, going on trips, reading, writing and listening to music. She is looking forward to spreading the CWGE and CVPE’s messages and resourceful information to students on campus!

Tegan is a second-year student at Bowling Green State University studying Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is from Springboro, Ohio. She is a Feminist Ambassador (FAB) for the CWGE as well as the Press Representative for Feminist Organization Rallying for Gender Equity (FORGE). She likes true crime documentaries, traveling, and spending time with her friends. As a Feminist Ambassador, Tegan hopes to spread awareness and education to others about feminist issues and create an inclusive environment for everyone on and off campus.

Mitchell is a Senior Psychology major at Bowling Green State University, with a minor in Sociology. He is a Feminist Ambassador (FAB) for the CWGE as well as the President of the Queer Trans Student Union (QTSU), Vice President of the BGSU College Democrats, and a Senator of Diversity Affairs in the Undergraduate Student Government (USG). He loves to sing, thrift, cook, and going hiking when he can! Mitchell is looking forward to the continued education CWGE offers and applying this knowledge towards his Master's degree in Social Work. He is planning on using this degree to hopefully assist him in his mission of opening up social programs across Ohio that would help aid LGBTQ+ individuals.

Reagan is in her second year here at BGSU pursuing a degree in communication with a minor in media production and studies. She is from Magnolia, Ohio and is a member of the Falcon Forensics Speech and Debate team and a Thompson Scholar. Reagan wishes to one day work in media, film, and/or journalism. She is excited to implement the skills and knowledge she gains as a Feminist Ambassador to promote a kind, accepting, and inclusive campus. In her free time, Reagan enjoys listening to music, reading, watching documentaries, and spending time with her loved ones.
