Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 12 Noon to 1 pm
LOCATION CHANGE:  316 Bowen-Thompson Student Union
Presenters:  Audrey Bond, The Cocoon and Members of Feminist Organization Raising Consciousness and Empowerment (FORCE)

After the recent announcement about BGSU’s campus advocate, you may be asking, “What does this mean for me or my friends if we need help?”

Come meet the campus advocate, Audrey Bond of The Cocoon, and find out!  Other questions to be answered include how an advocate’s services are different from those of a counselor or therapist, how to proceed if you need victim advocate services, and how this service is free and confidential for all students, faculty, and staff. Also, you will have the opportunity to learn about the laws around sexual assault and consent, the implications of Title IX, the options available in reporting, and more.

Members of FORCE will also lead a discussion regarding BGSU’s Take Back the Night and the ways that sexual assault survivors may empower themselves.
