BEYOND BUSINESS AS USUAL

BGSU’s degree programs prepare you to become a broadly educated professional who thinks critically and solves problems logically. We even offer a customizable specialization, I-Business, that allows you to build a degree that incorporates your key strengths and passions.

Our programs take an interactive and hands-on approach to learning. You will engage in applied, experiential learning, including interactive lab courses, to better understand global operations.

Program recognition highlights include:

  • While there are thousands of business programs, BGSU’s program is ranked in the top 5% public university undergraduate business programs in the U.S. by Bloomberg Businessweek
  • “Best Business Schools” by The Princeton Review – rated No. 2 among business colleges in Ohio for student academic experience and selectivity
  • Ranked among the top business colleges in country for Best for Vets in 2014
  • One of only 171 universities worldwide to be AACSB accredited in both business and accounting

BGSU Bonus

At BGSU you will experience one of the most dynamic programs in the country. Here, you have the opportunity to connect with and learn from successful alumni at events such as Entrepreneurship Week which includes the Sebo Series in Entrepreneurship as well as a Women in Leadership conference and the Best Practices in Business Analytics Symposium. Each year a select group of students competes to pitch their business idea to a group of investors at The Hatch. You can see the competition at www.bgsu.edu/hatch

You can become involved with student organizations that excel at the highest levels. BGSU’s student organizations have been more successful at national and international competitions than virtually any other college. Internships are also an important part of your college career at BGSU, and you will be able to participate as early as your freshman year.

You can take advantage of the many study abroad options BGSU offers to prepare for a career in the increasingly global economy.

Career Options

Job prospects in business and management are strong, and BGSU graduates work in a variety of industries helping organizations succeed. Some career paths, such as supply chain management, currently have more jobs available for BGSU graduates than students graduating. Others are expecting significant job growth in the next 10 years, such as health care administration, marketing and market research, and business analytics and intelligence.
