PEAK: Peers Engaging & Achieving Knowledge

Peers Engaging and Achieving Knowledge (PEAK) connects first and second year undecided students with upper-class BGSU students who serve as peer advisors.  PEAK advisors can provide their perspective on balancing curricular and co-curricular activities, classes they have completed, their declared major, and academic as well as campus resources.

If you have questions, feel free to email PEAK advisors at

Spring 2018, Pre-Major students can meet with any PEAK advisor, regardless of the major under consideration, during walk-in hours in 101 University Hall.

Monroe Naill

Position: PEAK Advisor

My name is Monroe Naill and I am from a small town on Lake Erie called Vermilion, Ohio. I am currently a junior majoring in psychology here at BGSU. I plan to further my education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. Aside from my educational studies, I am actively involved on BGSU’s campus. As a sister in Alpha Xi Delta, I hold a large leadership position as Philanthropy Chair in which I plan events to raise awareness and funds for Autism Speaks. I am looking forward to gaining experience from student interactions through being a PEAK advisor. My hope is that students will utilize what the PEAK program has to offer in order to make their transition to BGSU a positive experience!

Sarah Doughty

Position: PEAK Advisor

My name is Sarah Doughty and I am a senior Honors student, studying graphic design in the College of Arts and Sciences with a marketing minor. I am very involved on campus with my co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, as well as AIGA Campus Graphic Design Club, and BGSU Club Swim and Dive Team as a swimmer. My favorite de-stressing activity is going for a run, eating with friends, or knitting in a blanket pile. I enjoy going home to rural Cincinnati, Ohio to visit my family and pet my goats. My future goals are to work as a packaging and communication designer, and one day visit Costa Rica to pet baby sloths.

I love getting involved on campus through my co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, and as a mentor for CODE4her, a computer science mentorship program for middle school girls.
