Since 2014, BGSU and the Bowling Green Flight Center have been in partnership to offer BGSU students quality professional pilot flight training. Since the partnership began in 2014, the Bowling Green Flight Center has constructed over 40,000 square feet of new facilities, purchased new aircraft, and employs over 70 part-time and full-time staff to support the aviation program.

The parent company of the Bowling Green Flight Center, North Star Aviation, is based out of Minnesota. North Star Aviation currently operates three flight centers, all which are in partnership with an institution of higher education:

  • North Star Aviation - Mankato, Minnesota | Official Flight Education Partner of Minnesota State University
  • Bowling Green Flight Center - Bowling Green, Ohio | Official Flight Education Partner of Bowling Green State University
  • Premier Flight Center - Springfield, Missouri | Official Flight Education Partner of Ozark Technical Community College

Collectively, these flight centers train over 1,000 flight students each year.
