Flight Education

Bowling Green State University offers students the opportunity to receive flight certificates and ratings through our FAR Part 141 flight training program. Graduates of our Flight Technology & Operations program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Aviation degree and the following FAA certificates and ratings:

  • Single Engine Private Pilot Certificate
  • Instrument Rating
  • Single Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Multi Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Flight Instructor Certificate*
  • Instrument Flight Instructor Certificate*
  • Multi Engine Flight Instructor Certificate*

Training & Flight Schedule

Individuals participating in our flight education program are assigned a flight slot and flight instructor for each course. During our Fall and Spring semesters, individuals will fly a 2 hour flight slot, three times a week; either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Our students have the option of scheduling flights 365/7/24, even outside of their scheduled flight slot. During Summer, individuals are assigned a 2 hour flight slot, five days a week.
