Candidate Platforms
Anthony Quinn
Multicultural/Accessibility Advocate Senator
If I do get the position as the Multicultural Advocate Senator, I will be a strong advocate and voice for students who may have ideas about having events or programs being implemented. I will work closely with the staff to see what we can do to implement the students ideas and be a liaison between the students and staff to make a cohesive team.
Avie Housholder
Senator at Large | Diversity Affairs Senator
My name is Avie Housholder and I am a rising third year BGSU student majoring in Social Work and Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law on the Ethics and Policy track, aiming to work in macro social work. I am employed at a high school district as an Equity Director and have been working in that role for 4 years now. I aim to continue to use my knowledge in my workplace, major, and personal experiences to best suit the student body by rerunning for a senator role.
Bradley Russell
Off-Campus Senator | College of Business Senator
Financial Transparency/Accountability from BGSU:
Students should have a say in University spending.
Wasteful spending should be identified and addressed.
University should prioritize ACTIVELY lowering costs for students.
University must find a way to pay for or lower the cost of External Learning Systems (Connect, Pearson, MindTap, etc.) for students.
Students should receive semesterly, easy to read, reports detailing University spending, particularly with money received from students.
