In conjunction with National Student Employment Week, held April 12-18, 2020, Student Employment Services is taking the opportunity to formally recognize the contributions of Bowling Green State University Students who work. Students are nominated in four categories AND we are also recognizing outstanding supervisors. The nomination period for all categories closed on March 6, 2020.

Nominations will be judged based on examples of contribution to the organization, contribution to the community and leadership. The winning group will be announced on Friday, April 17, and will split a $500 award from the Student Employment Services Foundation. Congratulations students!

Winning Team:
This team of student employees has provided high-quality support for various programs within their department. They are instrumental in department efforts with a direct impact throughout the community, including education, civic events and volunteer efforts. They have mastered and excelled in their respective team roles, in terms of systems and technology, as well as the social, reasoning and problem-solving skills needed to be effective. Furthermore, every student on this team holds a leadership role in one or more organizations on BGSU or in the community. Their dedication to their work in their department will have a lasting impact in how the University collects and manages community partnership data and activities.

This student is an exceptional employee, an undergraduate student who routinely outperforms expectations. She has recruited employees and volunteers for the department’s various efforts, and has proven instrumental in planning and executing events in a leadership role. She has been described as friendly, effective, competent, driven and reliable. This student is also highly involved in the community outside of the workplace and classroom, showing involvement and/or leadership roles in a long list of organizations.
