Real World RIT: Saving yourself and your crew

October 6 - 8, 2018
8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Recent statistics show that many times, a downed firefighter is rescued not by the Rapid Intervention Team, but the members of their own crew and/or other crews operating nearby.  This fast paced, hands-on class will challenge the attendee both physically and mentally with multiple RIT/FF survival skill stations.  On the afternoon of day 2, attendees will apply all that they have learned in full speed MAYDAY scenarios.  Attendees will be introduced to the latest concepts regarding Rapid Intervention and how they can be used to make your department's Rapid Intervention Team more effective on the fireground.

Special Requirements
Firefighter I or II certified with no beards or goatees.  Confidence in SCBA, search and forcible entry.  Full PPE/SCBA required with 2 bottles.
