Incident Command Lab

Students will learn to make real time decisions during computerized simulations. Students will participate as a member of the Incident Command Staff and will rotate through various staff positions up to and including Incident Commander. Incident Command Lab is not intended to teach the basics of incident management. The course offers students an opportunity to gain experience as part of a command structure, allowing students to make decisions and mistakes under supervision. All simulations will be computer based.
Hold at least a 36-hour fire fighter certification. You must have completed IS-100.b (ICS 100), Introduction to Incident Command system, IS-200.b (ICS-200), ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, and IS-700.a National Incident Management Systems (NIMS), an introduction training prior to taking this class.
