So you want to know what being a SMART Mentor or Team Leader is all about? You've come to the right place!

SMART Staff Job Descriptions:

The Residence Life SMART (Students of Color Mentoring, Aiding, Retaining, and Teaching) Mentor is responsible for developing a positive, supportive relationship with first-year students of color (Mentees). In addition to working with the first-year students in making the adjustment to college life at Bowling Green State University, SMART Mentors will assist with SMART event planning, implementation, and management.

The Residence Life SMART (Students of Color Mentoring, Aiding, Retaining, and Teaching) Team Leader is responsible for providing direction, support, and leadership for up to seven SMART Mentors. In addition, Team Leaders will perform administrative duties within the program, including event planning, implementation, and management, and will develop a positive, supportive, helping relationship with Mentees that will facilitate their adjustment to college life at Bowling Green State University.
