Sport Specific Training

An 8-week summer team training program at the Student Recreation. The program features a custom training program specific to any sport and team/individual goal and is facilitated by certified strength and conditioning specialists and certified personal trainers.

Program Structure

  • 16 sessions - one hour each, offered twice per week
  • Week 1: Safety instructions and assessments
  • Week 2- 7: Custom strength and conditioning training
  • Week 8: Post assessment

Training Program Features

  • Strength training, with a focus on proper weight lifting technique
  • Proper sprint, running and cutting form technique
  • Conditioning and sprint drills: acceleration, deceleration, cone, and ladder
  • Mental toughness and team building
  • Performance enhancement education

Small Group Training and On on One Sport Specific Training

  • Individualized strength and conditioning program designed to meet the needs of each unique athlete
  • Meet weekly or bi-weekly with a trainer
  • Each training session is one hour and scheduled during times that are convenient for you
