When will camp meet?

Camps meet everyday for about 60 minutes for two weeks at designated times as outlined per subject and grade level.  

Can campers sign up for more than one?

Yes. Campers may sign up for up to two camps at no cost.  Additional camps will have an add-on cost of $89 per camp.  Each camp has been designed independently allowing campers to attend all offerings (i.e. Session 1: Science & Session 2: Science)

What does the cost cover?  

The first two camps for students are provided at no cost.

Students wishing to register for 3 or more camps will have an add-on cost. The add-on cost includes two weeks worth of daily instructional content,  a camp crate filled with items needed for sessions, a workbook designed to support the needs of all lessons and activities and additional items for fun including a BGSU T-Shirt. Each session will come with one unique crate item.  The add-on cost per camp is $89.00 

Camp Crate 

  • T-Shirt, Base Supplies Kit 
  • Camp Specific Materials will include all items needed for the two week camp. This includes but is not limited to worksheets, reading selections, science experiment items, math manipulatives, geography maps and so forth.   
    • i.e. Math for example will have snap cubes and science kits will contain materials needed to conduct simple science investigations at home

Social Studies  History and Government Strand: Historians and archaeologists describe historical events and issues from the perspectives of people living at the time to avoid evaluating the past in terms of today’s norms and values. Geography Strand: Maps and other geographic representations can be used to trace the development of human settlement over time.
Science

Part I: Identify questions that can be answered through scientific investigations; Design and conduct a scientific investigation; Use appropriate mathematics, tools and techniques to gather data and information; Analyze and interpret data; Develop descriptions, models, explanations and predictions; Think critically and logically to connect evidence and explanations; Recognize and analyze alternative explanations and predictions; and Communicate scientific procedures and explanations.

Part II: Systems can exchange energy and/or matter when interactions occur within systems and between systems. (Cycles and patterns of Earth, Moon, start of conservation of Mass)

NEXT STEPS

  1. Check the parent e-mail used for registration for a confirmation e-mail and link to payment for add-on programs. 
  2. Pay $15 dollar deposit per add-on camp to secure your child's spot in the additional programs  
  3. Remaining Balance Deadline:  June 1st, 2021
  4. Complete CampDocs waiver and permission form (sent as separate e-mail around Mid-May)
  5. Camp Crates Mailed:
