Vocal Arts

Vocal Camp 2012 (9 of 12)

Do you have a passion for singing? Are you interested in developing your vocal skills?  The SMI Vocal Arts Camp is for you!
The purpose of the camp is to help you develop your voice while nurturing your passion for singing. A student’s day will include private voice lessons and voice coaching, master classes with faculty and guest artists, as well as concerts by faculty and students. Campers will also be offered classes that have been created to allow students interested in a career in music the opportunity to examine different fields of interest.

Because singing involves so many diverse skills, students will also explore other tools such as diction, vocal interpretation, audition techniques, stage deportment and basic musicianship skills.
Each student will be provided with a firm foundation for healthy singing.

Be a high school student entering grades 9 through 12 with a strong interest and experience singing.

Scholarships are available to help defray the cost of the camp. The Dorothy M. Price Scholarship requires an application form. Please check the Scholarships page for more information.
