Student Degree Recitals
Price: $65 (includes audio and video recording), paid in advance. This fee applies to all students.
Before requesting a recording, you must reserve the venue.
After you have reserved the venue, please submit a Student Recording Request. Recording requests must be submitted and paid in full at least two weeks before the event date. Recording Services cannot honor any recording requests made with less than two weeks’ notice.
Two weeks after the event, a link to the audio and video files will be emailed to you. Recording Services will also automatically send your recordings to the Music Library. As of Fall 2018, it is no longer a requirement to burn CDs to include in your portfolio for graduation. Physical CDs/DVDs of Degree Recitals are not available. Live streaming is not available.
If you require sound reinforcement (instrument amplification, microphones, use of the venue’s PA system, etc.) for your Degree Recital, please be sure to include these details on your Student Recording Request. Your setup must reasonably fit in a 30-minute setup window prior to the performance.
Tech rehearsals are not included in the $65 recording fee, and due to the high volume of recorded events that we manage, we generally cannot accommodate them within our schedule. However, if your recital requires a tech rehearsal, please contact Mike Laurello (firstname.lastname@example.org) several weeks in advance and we will do our best to assist.
Concert lighting is only available if your event is being recorded.
If your Degree Recital is off-campus, please contact Recording Services as soon as possible: email@example.com. Recording Services cannot guarantee off-campus recordings, but we will do our best to accommodate.
If you need to cancel your Student Recording Request, please contact Recording Services as early as possible. For cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged full price.
