Doctoral Student Hong-Da Chin Performs in Boston

Composer and doctoral student Hong-Da Chin is a virtuoso on the dizi, a traditional Chinese flute, and he was recently part of several prestigious events that celebrated his talents. On September 10, 13 and 17 in Boston's Cutler Majestic Theatre, Chin performed in the Pulitzer-Prize winning opera Madam White Snake by Zhou Long. Several days later he was performing at Alice Tully Hall in New York City for the installation opera Paradise Interrupted by Huang Rho. This was part of the Lincoln Center Global Exchange 2016 and featured such luminaries as Laurie Anderson, Daveed Diggs, Andrea Bocelli, Hugh Masekela and the Voices of Haiti Children's Choir.
