Live on the BGSU campus for five days and experience collegiate life. At BGSU Impact Academy, you will make meaningful connections, learn more about social change and develop important life skills like communicating, goal setting, time management techniques and collaboration.

Impact Academy is a five-day leadership camp for rising high school juniors on BGSU's campus. Whether you are looking to grow as a leader at school or become a leader in your community, the BGSU Impact Academy leadership camp is a perfect way to build your toolkit for creating a better world.

Plus: If you apply for and attend BGSU, you will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward your first year.

  • Camp Duration: Noon on Sunday, June 18th through 3pm on Thursday, June 22nd
  • Accommodations: BGSU Residence Halls
  • Where: BGSU's Main Campus
  • Meals are provided
Eligibility 

We invite students entering their junior year of high school in fall 2023 to attend.

Camp Cost 

The $100 cost of camp covers all program materials, activities, admission fees, accommodations and meals throughout the week.

  • Daytime sessions focused on uncovering your strengths, values and leadership philosophy.
  • Tips for the college admissions process, including admissions essays
  • Explore the importance of inclusivity, respect and collaboration.
  • Understand your personal values and how those values influence leadership.
  • Enjoy fun evening activities like game night, movies, and a choose your own adventure challenge.
COVID-19 Protocols
  • Participants of age are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to the start of camp.
  • Students will self-monitor and alert staff of any new symptoms prior to the start of each day. 
  • Any student experiencing symptoms during the program must leave that same day. Depending on the circumstances, they may not be eligible to return.
