How to Request Faculty and Staff Headshots at BGSU
The photography department in Marketing and Brand Strategy provides high-quality photography that elevates the BGSU brand and showcases the unique and remarkable people who make up the BGSU community. We recognize the need for portrait photography University-wide and also acknowledge that our resources are finite. To better serve the BGSU community, we will now provide two options for faculty and staff to schedule individual headshots and portrait photography for use on websites and for internal and external distribution.
Option 1: Schedule time during our new open headshot sessions
Each semester, the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy will provide several days where any BGSU faculty or staff member may book a headshot session on campus. These sessions will be provided at no cost to the individual, department or college.
Fall 2022
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Spring 2023
Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Tuesday, March 14, 2023 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Thursday, April 20, 2023 | 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Option 2: Schedule time with Marketing and Brand Strategy's freelance photographer
If you are unable to attend one of the sessions sponsored by Marketing and Brand Strategy, you will need to contact photographer Mike Nemeth to schedule a session. The costs for scheduling these portraits are at the photographer's discretion and are the responsibility of the campus partner. Only groups of five or more will be considered. These sessions will not be covered by Marketing and Brand Strategy. When scheduling, please provide the names, departments and total number to be photographed, and then schedule a date, time and location for the portrait session on campus.
Portrait Photography Guidelines
In order to ensure a quality experience and end product, please review and observe the following guidelines.
Appearance
- Dress in business casual attire
- Avoid white jackets and other outerwear to prevent yourself from blending into the white background
Cancellation Policies
If you must cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Contact Mike Nemeth. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee set by the photographer.
