Jerry Schnepp, Director
Jerry is a technologist, designer, and creative problem-solver. He is an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Technology in the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering, where he teaches courses in Interactive Media, User Experience and Digital Photography. As director of the Collab Lab, he helps students and faculty form effective cross-disciplinary teams to collaboratively work on innovative ideas.
Kim Fleshman, Coordinator
Kim has years of experience supporting technology in her various roles here at BGSU. She has a Masters in Organization Development. In addition to managing the hardware and software in the lab, she directs student workers and oversees new technology adoption. Kim facilitates the Laptop Loan Program, on campus workshops, and formatting of the theses and dissertations for the Graduate College.
Christian Merrill, Digital Media Assistant
Christian graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, which focused on technology and marketing. He has worked as an Instructional Designer for Columbus State Community College, where he produced videos for higher education. Now, Christian is working to achieve his MFA in digital art, which will revolve around a better understanding of the creative process.
Katie Garlock, Digital Media Assistant
Katie Garlock is in her third year at BGSU and is working towards her B.A. in Digital Arts. She hopes to make her way into the video game industry, with a focus on environment design.
Paige Livesay, Digital Media Assistant
Paige is a third year Digital Arts major from New Lenox, IL. She is hoping to animate cartoons after college, and in her free time she makes webcomics, watches horror movies, and plays the ukulele.
Cassie Waltmire, Digital Media Assistant
Cassie is a sophomore from Findlay, Ohio majoring in Visual Communication Technology with a Music Industry minor. She is part of the Honors College and Honors learning community on campus. In her free time she enjoys attending concerts, watching Netflix, and practicing guitar.
Sophie Bodo, Student Coordinator
Sophie is a junior from Steubenville, Ohio studying Visual Communication Technology with a focus in print and plans to graduate in December 2019. She is a proud brother of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity and is also the Creative Director for 88.1 WBGU-FM. She loves Italian food, sea turtles, and all things Pittsburgh.
Noah Eblin, Digital Media Assistant
Noah is a Senior majoring in Visual Communication Technology from Ashley, Ohio. He specializes in Video and Photography, and loves to do both. Noah participates in University Film Organization and Photo Club and is excited to be a Digital Media Assistant at the Collab Lab.
Courtney Keeney, GA Outreach Coordinator
At the Collab Lab, Courtney is the Outreach Coordinator in charge of marketing and communications. Courtney graduated from BGSU with a Bachelor of Arts in international studies and Spanish with a focus in sustainable development. Now, she is pursuing a Master of Public Administration in hopes of working abroad in economic development.

Olivia is a senior studying Visual Communications Technology with a focus in web.
Alex Stroh, Student Coordinator
Alex Stroh is a 5th-year senior in the Visual Communication Technology program with a specialization in Interactive Media/UX and Video. He is apart of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and is also the Director of Dance Marathon at BGSU. He has a passion for technology and he looks forward to helping students create innovative and helpful products that could one day change the world.
Skyler Eckhardt, Student Coordinator
Skyler is earning a duel degree, working on a BFA in Art Studio and a Social Work degree. She is very passionate about art but also enjoys the digital side of it. Outside of work she loves to play softball and to travel. This past summer she traveled to Belize and Guatemala.
Ericka Findley, ETD Graduate Assistant
Ericka is a PhD student in the American Culture Studies program. She earned her bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and her master's in Teaching English. She spent several years working as a high school English teacher in Georgia before opting for a career change. Her research currently focuses on social constructions of normalcy, value, and importance in film, television, and media. In her role as the ETD Graduate Assistant, Ericka reviews formatting of theses and dissertations, as well as assists graduate students with the guidelines for formatting.
