Library Teaching & Learning

Department Mission

The mission of the Library Teaching & Learning Department (LTL) is to support the academic and research needs of BGSU students, faculty and staff and to teach users to identify, locate, assess and use appropriately a full range of information resources to create new knowledge.  LTL faculty and staff provide service at the Research & Information Desk, teach library instruction sessions in many subject areas, offer one-on-one research consultations by appointment, create course- and subject-specific LibGuides, and provide subject expertise in a wide range of areas for research and collections.

To schedule a research consultation with an LTL librarian, use our online booking system or feel free to contact a librarian directly with your inquiry. If you would like to schedule a library instruction session for your class, please see our list of instruction team contacts on our Services for Faculty webpage.
