BGSU students utilize the Learning Commons to receive academic support, stay on track in their classes, study in the lounge, and achieve their graduation goals through a wide-range of resources.

Monday - Friday 10am - 3pm
Location: 1st Floor in the Library
Successful students regularly take advantage of The Learning Commons.
The Study Lounge
The most popular and easiest way to get familiar with The Learning Commons is to get away from the distractions and make us your go-to study destination. The lounge features 60 tables and 200 chairs for independent studying or group work, 10 private cubicles, a presentation space, and more!
Academic Coaching
Academic Coaches can help you develop effective strategies and habits for college success. Virtual appointments only for Summer 2023.
Course-Based Tutoring
Need help with a specific course? Submit a request. Our staffing is significantly smaller during the summer, but we will do our best!
Math Tutoring
The Math and Stats Lab provides drop-in virtual tutoring for all Math and Stats courses on campus. For Summer, we are open 10 AM - 3 PM.
Testing Center
The Testing Center provides proctoring services for students with exam accommodations or with approved make-up exams. We are open Monday - Thursday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
Writing Consultations
The Writing Center offers in-person and virtual writing appointments as well as an Online Writers Submission Form. Our consultants assist with any writing and any stage of the writing process.
