Academic Benchmark Consortium

Academic Benchmarking Consortium (ABC) is a new tool available to BGSU Administrators so that they can review and trend our non-faculty related personnel costs and identify areas for improvement and efficiency within 9 Standard Activity Models: Communications, Development, Facilities, Finance, General Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, Research Administration, and Student Services.  Each ABC Member institutions can benchmark their personnel costs against other member peer institutions.  So far, we have included 5 fiscal years of payroll data into ABC Platform (FY2015 – FY2019) along with Position Descriptions and Job Analysis Questionnaires to ensure that we are comparing costs of similar activities with peer institutions.  This fall, we are in the process of sending FY2020 personnel costs to ABC.
