Life-threatening Emergencies
If on-campus, call Bowling Green State University Police Department at any Blue Light Location or call 911 from any telephone. If off-campus, call 911.
Examples of emergencies that fall under this category: criminal activity, automobile accident, missing persons, suicidal/homicidal thoughts, natural disasters (wind, flood, etc.), security threat, sexual assault, violence.
Immigration-related Emergencies
In the event of an emergency that is immigration-related, please call the Office of International Student Services at 419.372.2247 during office hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Anytime outside of ISS office hours, please call the Bowling Green State University Police Department at 419.372.2346 and a dispatcher will contact the appropriate professional to assist you.
Examples of emergencies that fall under this category: detainment at U.S. port of entry by immigration officials, immediate threat of deportation.
Please note that the need for travel endorsement on I-20/DS-2019 does not constitute an emergency.
Other Emergency Situations
If you find yourself in an emergency situation when ISS is closed, call the BGSU Police Department at 419-372-2346.
