Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act, or FFCRA, requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division (WHD) administers and enforces the new law's paid leave requirements. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. This has voluntarily been extended by BGSU through 3/31/2021. Emergency Responders are exempt from the FFCRA at Bowling Green State University.

It's normal to have feelings of stress, anxiety, and fear. Please know that you are not alone, and that resources are available to assist you if you want someone to talk to or need support. These resources are available for all full-time employees of BGSU and their family members.
Bowling Green State University offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in partnership with ImpactSolutions, and provides resources for employees and families in a vast majority of situations. All services are confidential and provided by experience, licensed professionals. These services are available to benefits-eligible employees, members of their household, parents and parents-in-law, even if you did not enroll in the health insurance through BGSU. When using ImpactSolutions website, use the login and password of "BGSU".
Launched in 2020, BGSU now provides access to a mental health chatbot that is available through ImpactSolutions. Tess is available to provide emotional support, evidence-based education and delivers coping skills and strategies via text. Tess is available to employees and their families.
