Human Resources Top Accomplishments

The Office of Human Resources team, in accordance with its mission, strives to accomplish goals in alignment with the BGSU strategic plan.   

During the 2018 - 2019 academic year, we were able to accomplish several of our internal goals and initiatives.  We are very proud of our accomplishments and will continue to work towards goals that will meet the needs of the University.   

BGSU has established core values to respect one another and foster diversity and a culture of inclusion.  It is a privilege toreceive federal funds, and with privelege comes a responsilbilty to comply with laws to provide equal opportunity in the workplace.  An affirmative action plan includes statistical analysis to promote creating a workforce that authentically reflects demographics by ensuring equal access in accordane with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance.

  1. Upgraded software to the cloud version to eliminate unnecessary record storage, easier access to data monitoring, and maintaining and distributing the plan.
  2. Enhanced educational sessions with divisional leaders and deans.

Human Resources met our goal of 100% compliance and offered the mandated health insurance offering to those that qualified during the 2017 - 2018 fiscal year.  All offers were made timely and all guidelines were met.  This removes any potential for large fines in this area to the university.
