Disability Self-Identification (5 year review)

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) issued regulations that changed the way employers, who do business with the government, are to report workforce data; specifically regarding individuals with disabilities.  The regulations mandate a good-faith effort to achieve a workforce with seven percent (7%) employees with disabilities.  This is not a quota, but a goal, therefore, the University is canvasing all faculty and staff for compliance reporting.

While your self-identification update is encouraged to assist the University to report the makeup of its workforce, updating your status is optional and voluntary.  No employment decisions will be based on whether or not a status update is offered.  The data collected will assess retention and will be kept confidential.

Please take a moment to log into MyBGSU and update your disability status as follows:

1.    Log into MyBGSU

2.    Select the Employees tab

3.    Scroll to the Disability Link in the left navigation panel

4.    Complete the form by selecting one of the three buttons

5.    Click “Submit”
